I am a German-English bilingual Project Manager with a German Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a passion for diligence and process improvement. As a military spouse of 7 years, I have been there… Those times when we try to put ourselves out there, be the perfect candidate, train for interviews to find a (or really any) job that pays a decent salary so that we can contribute to the family and the life our spouse is working so hard for, including long nights on duty and even longer deployments. Also, the time transitioning out of the service into civilian life, long time of service or not – it is a change, and sometimes the best ideas result out of necessity: Entrepreneurship!
However, when we (veterans & spouses alike) get to the point that we want to start our own business, things get really challenging. From convincing our spouse, family, and friends that our idea is valuable, over bank accounts and strategically setting up the financial aspects, to personally staying motivated and adhering to our plans: It is a long journey to become independent and successful.
Needless to say, “It’s really darn hard”! There, I said it anyhow. Because I think it is important to know that, yes, not everyone can or should become an entrepreneur, but those who do, deserve respect, and most of all, they need support and tools to turn their vision into a reality!
My strong belief is that EVERYONE can inspire, impact, and grow to their full potential – especially with the right support & resources!
